Kalplata Naturals
A successful architect and design professional in the U.S., and then in India, Parul felt something was still missing from her life. She had always felt very ‘connected’ to earth and soil and realized it was time to do something about it.
She chucked her successful career and took a full-time plunge into farming in 2016. The journey started on 30 acres of family land in Kota, Rajasthan. Parul says, ‘It has since been a beautiful journey of discovering the abundance of nature, the life in our soils, the biodiversity that enriches the environment and has extended to issues not limited to human health but that of our soil, water, farmers and sustainability.’
She established Kalplata Naturals in 2018, putting her learnings to use. Kalplata addresses the needs of the farmers (small farmers in particular), is committed to the regeneration of mother earth to bring the magic of pure and natural food and change the health quotient of people.
Parul is committed to the welfare of the small farmers. In March 2019, she was selected in the Cherie Blaire Foundation’s Mentoring Women in Business Program. She is regular at giving talks and sharing her experiences and recently addressed ‘ The Abundance of Nature Conclave’ at IIMA, Nature Club, Ahmedabd.
